North Burlington Tennis Club has an exciting Lesson Program for Members.
Please note, you MUST have a NBTC Membership to access any of the Lessons below.
North Burlington Tennis Club is not a publicly funded Recreation Facility. It is a private non-profit Tennis Facility operated and managed by Volunteers.
The Membership Fee is the 'User Fee' for use of the Facility. The Lesson or Program Fee is payment to the Tennis Coaches for instruction and coaching.
*The only exception is the Summer Camp Program, where Non-Members are permitted to participate with a Non-Member Fee.
Junior Group Lessons
Mini Stars 4-7 yrs
Children will develop their hand-eye coordination while learning fundamental tennis skills, be introduced to footwork drills and essential movement patterns. They will participate in fun activities such as running, throwing, catching, and hitting a progressive (soft) tennis ball. There will be many cooperative games designed to build confidence, coordination and athletic ability. Each Session offers a 7 week Program.
Spring Session: May 7-June 18 Wed 4:30-5:30 pm $175.
Summer Session: July 8-Aug 21 Tues & Thurs 5- 6 pm $325.
One day option available for Summer Session $175.
Little Champs 8-11 yrs
Children will enhance their eye-hand coordination, develop fundamental tennis skills, improve footwork through a combination of structured drills and a game-based approach. This Program focuses on building essential skills in a fun and interactive environment, helping young players gain confidence and a strong foundation in tennis. Each Session offers a 7 week program. The Summer Session offers the opportunity to participate twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Spring Session: May 7-June 18 Wed 5:30-6:30 pm $175.
Summer Session: July 8-Aug 21 Tues and Thurs 6-7 pm $325.
One day option available for Summer Session $175.
Teens 12-17 yrs
Teens will enhance their fundamental tennis skills through a variety of ball feeding drills, cooperative exercises, and game play tailored to their skill level. More advanced players will focus on refining their technical, physical, mental and tactical abilities. This Program will help teens to develop a well-rounded and competitive game while having fun with their peers. Each Session offers a is a 7 week program.
Spring Session: May 7-June 18 Wed 6:30-7:30 pm $175.
Summer Session: July 9-Aug 20 Wed 6:30-7:30 pm $175.
Adult Group Programs
Beginner Learn to Play Tennis 4 to 8 participants
This Program is designed for individuals new to tennis or those who want to review the basics after being away from tennis for many years. Participants will be introduced to the basic tennis skills, including hand grips, basic tennis strokes, footwork, eye-hand coordination activities, and many interactive games to begin the enjoyment of the sport of tennis. The objective is to gain confidence in the basic skills and have fun to rally and play tennis with individuals of similar ability. This Program may be taken several times throughout the season (6 week and 7 week options) until the basic skill level has been reached where it is possible to play a game of tennis.
Spring Sessions:
Mon May 5 to June 16 9-10 pm (6 wks, no class May 19) $165.
Wed May 7 to June 18 10-11 am (7 wks) $190.
Summer Session:
Mon July 7 to Aug 18 8-9 pm (6 wks, no class Aug 4) $165.
Intermediate Tennis Group Level 3.0 + 4-8 participants
This Program is designed for tennis players looking to improve their technical and tactical skills and their footwork. There will be weekly opportunities to develop tennis strokes, ball control, consistency and court positioning. Coaches will enhance your game through a combination of ball feeding drills, cooperative skill exercises, as well as structured and guided game play. Members may wish to participate in one, two or all three sessions dependent upon how much tennis improvement is desired. The Spring program offers a 6 week program of 1 hr each week and a 7 week program of 1.5 hr each week. The Summer Program offers a 6 week program of 1 hr each week.

Tennis Fit 4-8 participants
This is a high energy class designed for players looking to improve footwork, to hit a high volume of balls and to get an excellent workout. This fun Program is ideal for intermediate to advanced players seeking a fast-paced and challenging session. The Coaches feed well placed balls to improve the anticipation and return of forehand, backhand, volley, overhead, approach, lob and more! Members may wish to join more than one session in the Spring and Summer for tennis stroke improvement and overall fitness.

Summer Session: Thurs July 10 to Aug 21 7-8:30 pm (7 wks) $105.
Men's Doubles 8-12 participants
Men ages 18 and up are invited to join our fun and social 'Intermediate Level' Round Robin. This Program will allow a great opportunity to enjoy competitive play in a friendly environment. The Coaches will provide tips and advice for your improvement. Your tennis will improve!
Spring Session: Tues May 6 to June 17 7-8:30 pm (7 wks) $105.
Summer Session: Tues July 8 to Aug 19 7-8:30 pm (7 wks) $105.
Mixed Doubles 8-12 participants
Women and Men ages 18 and up are invited to join our fun and social 'Intermediate Level' Round Robin. This is a great opportunity to meet other tennis players if you do not have a regular tennis partner. It is an opportunity for competitive play in a friendly and welcoming environment along with Coaches directing and providing feedback during the Session. Your tennis will improve!
